Join Us for the Eco Festival at SEREXPO!
We are excited to announce the Eco Festival from September 18-20 at SEREXPO in Serres! This event will celebrate sustainability and environmental awareness with interactive exhibits, workshops, and activities for all ages. We invite schools to participate in educational programs that explore local biodiversity, conservation, and eco-friendly practices. It’s a unique opportunity for students to engage with nature in a fun, hands-on way. Don’t miss out—bring your school and be part of this inspiring festival!
After an absence of more than four years, the Eco Festival, a festival-institution embraced and supported by the society of Serres, returns to our city.
This year we even chose an action to coincide with another local institution, Serr-Expo, in order to further strengthen this effort by spreading messages that focus on environmental protection and sustainable development.
The ECO FESTIVAL puts its own stone in the ongoing effort of the Municipality of Serres to inform, raise awareness and gradually cultivate the “environmental consciousness” of the local community of Serres. It serves our broader goal of upgrading the urban environment and quality of life, through and spreading messages in favor of environmental protection.
Organized by the Environment Department of the Technical Services Directorate of the Municipality of Serres, it is hosted at the SERREXPO “CHRISTOS MEGLAS” Business Center, from the evening of Wednesday 18/9 until the evening of Friday 20/9.
The program of the festival provides information on the actions of the Municipality of Serres for the environment and will also give a platform to others, such as:
- Natural Environment & Climate Change Organization – Management Body L. Kerkinis,
- Balkan Botanical Garden of Kroussia,
- Museum of Natural History of the Municipality of Serres,
- Laboratory Center of Natural Sciences (EKPE Serres),
- Local NGOs (Serres Group for UNESCO, Praxis)
- Ecological citizens 1st Lyceum of Serres Educational Club
- Serres Sports Orientation Association “O Siris”
There will be interactive games, physics experiments, speeches by expert scientists, as well as a theatrical performance by the Serres Institute of the Environment with a theme related to the environment. It is of course committed by the EVES to the education departments for visiting schools and wider dissemination.
Also, as part of the ECOFESTIVAL, an information session on “City and Environment” started on Wednesday 18/9 at 10.00 pm in the small auditorium of the DIPAE Serres with the participation of excellent speakers, suggestions related to the sensitive sector of the environment and a discussion on future parliaments and actions. .
